Prospecting Feeds

Prospecting feeds aim to show an array of products or services to promote new business. By showing categorical products or services, you can zero in on what's driving the most conversions.Prospecting feeds, or typically in the e-commerce industry, product feeds, are an incredibly dynamic solution. By implementing a feed, your ads act as a template for the evolving factors in your business. For example, a product feed campaign can run year long, while the products change to reflect the different seasons and/or prices. However, as seen in the example created for McClatchy Publishing, feeds can also reflect real-time changes in news, social media, or the stock market.Feeds are not necessarily new, and infact the implementation behind showing the latest news headlines in a feed is powered by RSS which is very common for news, sports and business publishers. However, with Shopify leading the e-commerce industry, there has been advancements in how easy it is for a small business owner to set up an online store. Shopify collections also have their built-in feed which is in ATOM format, similar to RSS. So if you're running a buisness on Shopify, set up a collection of products, and simply update inventory items within that collection on a regular basis - your prospecting feed ads will be reflected instantly. For other online retailers, there's always the trusted spreadsheet method which has it's own advantages. Let's say you want to use different product images compared to what's on your website, or include different messaging or pricing depending on the campaign targeting.Personally, I always believed that your ads should act as an extension of your website. That when a user clicks on your ad, they should have a seamless user experience and be guided to the specific section they intended to visit. This should be kept in mind when considering a prospecting feed, so you can match the landing page URLs to the specific products or services shown. In today's online world, the less clicks the better in order to turn your target market into your clients.
